As a therapist, I see the mind as a powerful tool that can be your best friend or your worst enemy. It’s the key that unlocks a door into happiness, health, perception of self, and varying degrees of what makes one’s story unique. I strive to bring a level of warmth and comfort to the counselling space, where I offer an environment of support, and empathy, free of judgement or ridicule. I focus on self-awareness, expression, and personal growth utilizing holistic, relational, and humanistic approaches to explore unconscious feelings, beliefs, dynamics, and patterns that impact and influence our lives and relationships. Though not always easy or comfortable, this resilient journey can prompt discovery into ourselves, and explore, experiment, and expand into new avenues of possibilities. I value being able to empower individual growth and I consider it an honour to help people find their inner voice to learn, heal, and grow.

Get To Know Me Personally

  • I enjoy spending time cooking and trying new recipes, sweet or savoury, alongside, going for walks or reading a good book fiction or nonfiction.

  • I always have resonated with the compassion, empathy, and support a counsellor provides alongside how counselling empowers individual growth to which I consider a privilege to be a part of.

  • Working through Covid-19. I joined the healthcare system in January 2020, two months before the worldwide lockdown. This time came with many uncertainties and fear which fostered anxiety as a professional. However, this time offered a light which led to learning new skills and adaptability of rapidly changing times.

  • A lawyer! I value social justice and helping people find a voice.

  • Spending time with loved ones. I enjoy trying new things or experimenting with sweet, savoury, and traditional dishes when the opportunity presents. I enjoy reading fiction or non-fiction books, watching a TV show, or movie, or going for walks.

  • Feeling guarded as the therapeutic relationship requires time to develop through mutual trust. Counselling within itself is a process, so having a pace that feels comfortable is integral to feeling safe and trust within the therapeutic space. Coming here takes courage and never be shy to communicate how you would feel best supported by your counsellor.

  • Being able to witness moments of profound insight in therapy. A client finally connects some important dots on their own. They understand themselves or a relationship in a way they never have before. Or an observation I've made resonates with a client at a deep level and allows them to see things completely differently, which fosters discovery in one’s life, whether it be the good, the hard, or the challenging. People are unique and so is the therapeutic relationship.
